Beans in the Pantry...

I recently was able to can my first batch of green beans in our new kitchen.  We've had such a busy summer that it was real nice to be at home and do something we'll enjoy all winter long.  I might add I had lots of good help from the hubby, my son and my mother-n-law. We really enjoyed our day - but I might also add that we put up 34 quarts of beans - from picking to breaking to canning - nearly 12 hours - whewww.  They better be good - that's all I'm saying!

Clean Jars...
 Lots of breaking going on...
 A nice hot bath...
 Canning...
 Cooling...
 Sitting Pretty...
 On my new pantry shelves...

 Love it!

Oh- Those look so good. I can remember helping my Mom can in an old farm kitchen with a wood stove. It would be so hot you could hardly get a breath- There is such a sense of satisfaction in seeing those cans all lined up though, isn't there? xo Diana
