Happpy Monday!

Guess what friends???? It's gonna snow here tonight - YYYEEEEAAAAAHHHHH! I do hope we get enough to jus' have a snowball fight anyway! I've got my gloves ready and I'm looking forward to some fun in the snow.

But as I'm looking out my dining room window this morning thinking of the coming snowfall - I have to concentrate on three seasons from now - yes, skip spring, summer and come to fall - now, let me tell ya that's hard to do.

You ask, why? Well, it's time to get our mums ordered - actually I'm a couple of weeks late on that already - it's so hard to choose - there are so many colors and varieties - I want them all. But, I've got it narrowed down and I'm about ready to make the call - and as for our greenhouse - well, we start that next week in full swing. I can hardly believe it - the pansies are up and the geraniums are on their way.

But as for today, I'm jus' gonna enjoy a lil' taste of winter!
Happy Monday Friends,
Cathy Cobblestone

  1. Hi Cathy! We're expecting either 6" snow or 1/2" ice. I've got my fingers crossed for the snow. (I HATE ice). We haven't had any snow this year and I'm feeling left out.

Oh I love mums! They do chase the winter blahs away, don't they? Hope you have a blessed and happy week!

  3. Hi Cathy,
We are to get some snow here in southwestern pa sometime tomorrow (Tuesday) and we're looking for around 6 inches. I live at a place called "Snowball Hill" and I always welcome some freshly fallen snow.

    Love your pictures as always!

  6. Hello, Cathy!! We are due for about 6" of snow (and some ice) tonight as well. Which is fine with me...since I took a vacation day tomorrow. So being snowed and iced in will give me the perfect excuse to stay home tomorrow and relax!!

BTW, I LOVE mums!! Oh wait, I just LOVE Fall period, it is my favorite season!!

  11. hi Cathy - It is finally snowing here in Va, kids are home from school. We have waited for this all winter and it is here and coming down hard. Looks so beautiful out there. I love coming home driving down our long road seeing our cabin covered in snow and the smoke coming up from our chimney...does my heart good.
    Happy Winter.

  12. Hi Cathy,
I love the snow, I guess its because I don't live in snow country. My husband is on work travel this week and is in Colorado, he said it was snowing like crazy all day and so pretty. I think its great to have all the seasons its seems in California where I live its only hot in summer and in winter its cold and raining. Have fun picking out your spring flowers.
    Have a wonderful day,
    Elizabeth

  13. We have a chance of ice here in Va. tonight into tomorrow. UGH!
I love that piece of furniture in your dining room, with the glass fronts like a seed bin. Its beautiful and I adore your roosters since I have collected them for a million years. Your home is just lovely. Ordering mums for Fall, hummmm? I am so ready for spring. What is going to be the plant to get this spring?
    Have fun ordering beautiful mums.
