...literally. Shaun broke the garden this afternoon - and. I. love. it. I so enjoy planting a garden and watching it grow from seedling to sprout to harvest time. And I'm especially grateful for the land to have a garden
and good health to work in it.
I'm looking very forward to delicious home grown veggies to eat and to can. Can't wait to line up the pretty jars in my new "soon to be" pantry.
As you can see - lil' man is right behind his daddy looking for fishing worms...
...and he sure found a few.
Since I last showed you - we now have a roof - a metal one in "burnished slate". We are really happy with it and think it fits right in. Siding goes on next week!
Hope you get to plant a garden this year! What's your favorite thing to grow? Mine - well, I must say Mr. Stripey tomatoes! lOOOOOOOOOOve 'em

We want one in the worst way for our 'city' cabin here in Cincy, but they don't look like that nor come in colors like that.
Okay I'm over it...LOL..I didn't even notice no siding it looks so good now under roof 8)

ReplyDeleteI love fresh veggies from the garden. I grow leaf lettuce, sugar snap peas, grean and yellow beans, tomatoes ~ but my favourite thing is the fresh sugar snap peas ~ yum ~ ;-)

We had a veggi garden when we moved in it wasnt much so we removed it but I am thinking of making another one, we had one on the farm when I was a kid and I remember how much I loved the fresh veggies and picking them with my mum she also did canning. Hope you have a wonderful season of veggies and may it be plentiful for you. Have a great day !

Anne - you are too kind BUT the house is not as big as it looks - it isn't even a full second story in the back - it just looks that way - it is really tall however. But I am grateful and I feel blessed to get this opportunity. Sometimes I feel guilty about it but we have worked hard and this was a dream of my husbands. I pray that the move all goes smoothly and it'll be here before we know it. Gotta get busy packing up some things. ;-)

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!!things are really coming alone..You know we don't have a garden, how sad..We do have a lemon tree does that count LOL. We were thinking of planting some tomatoes alone the fence. Our pool and grass area take up all the space in our back yard and the rest is patio.

How nice you can break the garden. We are expecting more snow next week and Spring is a ways off yet. I am also in love with your metal roof. We wish we had done that 15 years ago when we built our house. Enjoy your garden.
