A pretty basket...

...filled with yummy veggies from the garden. I shared these with my some of my great VBS volunteers at church tonight - they snatched them up in a jiffy. I found this beautiful basket a few weeks back - I was gonna offer it up for adoption but I think I must hang on to it. It's jus' to pretty. I've never seen a basket like this - it's actually shaped like a grain scoop. Anybody else have one? Oh well, this one is a keeper I think!
Just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your sweet comments regarding Shaun's injury. He is improving each day - his spirits are great - all those "things to do" are getting done with some wonderful help from our friends and family - so things are looking up.
Thank you all again - your kind words were so uplifting.
Have a beautiful week!
Cathy

  1. Hi Cathy!
Just popped in to how Shaun was doing this morning. Saw your basket. Those are pretty baskets...usually nested in 3's. We.ve had them here at the shop over the years. They are 'Gathering Baskets' used just for what you did. My grandma used to say they were berry pickin' basket..maybe blueberry.
Finally we're gettin' some rain today!! Been a little dry. Hope you gettin' a little.

  3. Hi Cathy~
Just seeing your post on your sweet hubby, Shaun. I'm glad to know he's on the road to recovery and I hope he'll take your advice and not worry about all the other stuff. His healing is most important! :)
That basket is just beautiful and the bounty from your garden is tantalizing to my taste buds. It all looks so fresh and yummy!
Our VBS starts in two weeks. Got any fresh veggies to send out way? LOL!
Take care of you and your dh.
    Hugs~ Birgit

  12. Hey Cathy! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind to sell the bows with printed ribbon a dollar off. So the $5.00 printed bows would be $4.00 and the $4.00 printed bows would be $3.00. I really want to get rid of them so I can buy more colors!
