YES....believe it or not....it has been 5 years on this Halloween Day, since we moved in our house. I really can't believe it but it seems like I always say that when it comes to time....it just slips away so fast. I thought I would just share some simple, imperfect pictures with you today and you will see that we have been blessed with an amazing fall season here in central Kentucky. It has been absolutely beautiful for weeks!
But before I just turn you loose with pictures...I will say this. The older I get the more sentimental I become and I was already a "cry-er"... so that's scary. I am extremely thankful for our house...but it would mean nothing to me without the people in it. I am overwhelmed sometimes of the blessings in my life and I do not feel deserving of them. But I am so thankful to God for my husband and my son and my entire family who make this place special.
I am beyond grateful for the love that is shared here, the memories that are made here and the time well spent with the ones I love. That is what makes this house...our home.
*Peace*
Have a beautiful, happy and blessed week my friends!

stumbled across your blog and love your home and decor. I'm your newest follower. Will be hanging around visiting your old posts and seeing how your home has changed in the 5 years you've had it. We will be 6 years with our house on Dec 31st and we haven't gotten as far as you have. Just hasn't really become "home" to me.

So lovely! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home....what a blessing. And, to realize it would mean nothing without those you love to share it with...priceless! Happy November!
ReplyDeleteCathy, your beautiful home shows your appreciation and love in every space. I appreciate your sharing, and look forward to every post. I do have a question for you, would you please give me info on the lamp that's under the wooden letter M -- anything -- place of purchase, manufacturer, just anything, as I have a serious case of the gottahaves!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you for five more wonderful years (and more).
Thanks everyone for the kind words. Edie - I hope you see this...I was having some trouble responding directly back to you. The lamp that you mentioned in your comment was purchased at Kirklands but it has been probably 4 years ago. I love that lamp too...it goes just about anywhere I move it to and believe me I move it around a lot. Maybe you can find one similar or who knows....maybe they still carry it. Good luck and thanks again!
ReplyDeleteTruly blessed! Everything is so cozy and beautiful.Warm Blessings!~Amy
ReplyDeleteCathy, thanks so much for your response. Husband had mentioned trying Kirklands, and I'll be going there this week! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteAll of it is soo pretty!
ReplyDeleteHope you are ready for the big day!
Enjoy your day.
