Time for a "Spring Spruce-up"...

O.k. friends - Spring "officially" begins this week (never mind the sleet/snow that is falling right now)!

I'm ready for Baseball and Pansies and the smell of cut grass.

I'm ready to open up the windows and let in the fresh air.

And I'm ready to change things up a bit in the house.

A little change always does me good!

So I'm gonna start with my entryway...seems like a good place to start!

I finally erased my "peace on earth" from my chalkboard...

I added my sweet egg wreath - kindly gifted to me by my dear friends at CFS.  I attached my lil' wooden polka dot bunny to the right side...

Time to get out the chalk...

I found this saying that reminded me of exactly what "spring" means.

I put my turquoise bunny in my glass greenhouse...

I added my grass and my burlap shaded lamp...

Kept my bargain rug and yard sale baskets as is and well...
there you have it...

My "welcome spring" entryway!

What are your "spring spruce-up" projects? - I'd love to know!

  4. Cathy, I love it. Really love it. Could you come and help me with my house??!!! I'm so happy and thankful to be moved in but I sure am having a hard time getting things how I want. I'm really wanting to simplify this time around and just can't seem to bear the thought of clutter, so as a result things are still looking a little "empty" for my taste! But I'd love to have all your things in my house! Ha!

  5. The only spring sprucing up I've done is a wreath for my door and some painting of patio furniture! Then it got cold and felt like winter again! :-)

  7. What a great way to start your spring decorating. It looks amazing. I have been slowing adding things this week too. It's so much fun isn't it.

  8. Hi Cathy
Love the way you move things around and put things together.
I wondered if you could tell me about the couch in the sunroom.

  9. Hi Deborah - I hope you see this. I had tried to reach you the last time you asked me about the couch in the sunroom but you don't have your e-mail enabled. Please don't think I'm ignoring you. The tan couch that use to be in the sunroom (I change around a lot;-) came from a local furniture store. It is a Broyhill and it is just a simple couch - I'm not sure what else to tell you. If you live close to me let me know and I'll give you details on the furniture store - hope this helps! Happy Spring!

    2. Thank you Cathy. We built our farmhouse the same time you did. Love your post!!! Especially how you share your faith and love your family.
I'm trying to find a couch for our away room/den/office;). I wasn't sure if your couch was from IKEA. I know you have some IKEA products in your home.
      Bless you!
